The Tongariro Crossing (along with some other hikes or mountain biking trails) begins and ends at different points, so transport arrangements must be made - It is not secure to leave your own car at the track ends.
We offer our guests (and other travellers) a car ferrying service.
We will take you to the start of the track (around a 15 minute drive from our park) at whatever time you wish and bring your vehicle back to camp where it is safe and secure. We will then pick you up from the end of the track (only a 5 minute drive) and transport you back to camp - again, at the time that suits you.
Shuttle Service
Our shuttle service to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing operated by Tongariro Expeditions is one of the most comprehensive in the area.
Departure times in the morning 7, 8, 9am from here at the Holiday Park and in peck times weather allowing a 6am drop off. You will be at the start of the hike within 20 mins.
Multiple return times from the end of the track only being 6kms from the Holiday Park.
With our location you can be home long enjoying your cold refreshments at our cafe well others still on there long return trips home.
